The latest issue of the Idaho Catholic Register has an article from the Bishop urging us all to call our Senators and assist in resurrecting the immigration bill.
Which immigration bill are we to support: the one that would allow known gang members, felons, and pedophiles to become citizens within 24 hours OR the one with the Republican amendment that only sends the pedophiles back?
You realize the recent bust of 700 pedophiles in a global network (that featured live streaming video of horrific molestation of infants) would have all be welcomed under the original bill. Have you even looked at the bill? It claims it can correctly identify 15 million aliens in 24 hours while we can’t even process a single passport in 4 months.

I just looked a little closer at the latest issue of the Register and realized something....
Bishop is asking us call our Senators to pass the legislation again. And right next to it THE SAME ARTICLE IN SPANISH!!!
Wait, you mean that these illegals who are just coming here to pick strawberries and have such a desire to be Americans, that we have to politically instruct them IN SPANISH!!!
So here is what the Bishop is calling to action - for the illegals to call our Senators and lobby congress to make them legal aliens!
Is it me, or does this just seem wrong?
A lot of times people will argue that we should leave illegal aliens alone and they will cite the Gospels (ie the Holy Family fleeing to Egypt), but they never mention "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's"
